PXIe-6353 32-Channel High-Speed Multifunction I/O Module
The NI PXIe-6353 is a high-speed, high-channel-count X Series PXI Express multifunction data acquisition module. It provides analog acquisition, waveform generation, digital control and counter/timer measurements in one PXI slot.
The PXIe-6353 includes 32 single-ended or 16 differential analog input channels with 16-bit resolution. It supports a maximum single-channel input rate of 1.25 MS/s and an aggregate multichannel rate up to 1.0 MS/s.
Four 16-bit analog outputs, 48 digital I/O lines and four 32-bit counter/timers make the module suitable for mixed-signal stimulus-and-response testing, production automation and electromechanical system validation.

High-Speed 32-Channel Acquisition
The PXIe-6353 combines the 32-channel capacity of the PXIe-6323 with a substantially faster ADC. It is useful when an application requires both higher channel density and better time resolution.
The inputs use a multiplexed architecture. When multiple channels are enabled, the module scans the channel list sequentially at up to 1.0 MS/s aggregate.
Four Analog Output Channels
Four hardware-timed outputs can generate independent stimulus voltages, test waveforms and device-control signals. This allows a single PXIe-6353 to stimulate several DUT inputs while recording multiple response signals.
Output update capacity is shared when multiple output channels are active. Check the official specifications for the supported aggregate rate and output-drive limits of the intended waveform.
48-Line Digital Subsystem
The digital subsystem provides 48 lines. Port 0 offers up to 32 bidirectional hardware-timed lines for correlated pattern input and output, while additional lines can serve as PFI timing connections or static digital I/O.
This capability is useful for fixture control, device-mode selection, hardware handshaking, digital-state acquisition and synchronized mixed-signal testing.
Advanced Timing and Triggering
NI-STC3 timing technology provides separate hardware engines for analog input, analog output, digital input, digital output and counter tasks. This allows several subsystems to run concurrently without relying on host-software timing.
Tasks can start from analog thresholds, digital edges, software commands or PXI backplane triggers. Retriggerable operations can repeatedly acquire or generate a finite set of samples after each trigger.

PXIe-6353 Troubleshooting
The requested multichannel rate causes an error
The 1.25 MS/s maximum applies to single-channel operation. Configure multichannel scans so their combined conversion rate remains at or below the aggregate limit.
One analog output affects another measurement
Review grounding and cable routing. Keep analog output and sensitive analog input wiring separated, and ensure external loads do not create ground-current paths through the terminal block.
Digital pattern generation is not available on every line
Hardware-timed correlated digital operations are associated with the designated digital port. Other PFI lines may support static I/O or timing functions but not the same buffered pattern capability.
The first sample after switching channels is inaccurate
High source impedance can slow the settling of the multiplexed input. Use a buffer amplifier, reduce the scan rate or add settling time where the application permits.
